Seb Aslan (Director)
Seb Aslan has worked across a number of different Government departments in a wide variety of policy and operational delivery roles. This included working on skills, leadership and management, access to finance and in particular community investment. He was responsible for oversight of Community Investment Tax Relief including a review of the accreditation process and legislation. He also led on negotiation with the EU on the state aid aspects of the programme.
An experienced project and programme manager Seb oversaw the transfer of £500m of assets from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to the British Business Bank. Following “go live” he was the bank’s sponsor.
Seb has a (BA) hons from Sheffield Hallam University.
Rob Freeman (Director)
Rob Freeman has 15 years experience managing a wide range of Government access to finance programmes. At the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), Rob was responsible for the Community Investment Tax Relief (CITR) programme. This involved working closely across the responsible finance sector to increase the remit and impact of CITR.
Previously he managed a team operating the Enterprise Finance Guarantee programme. This included oversight of the accreditation of new lenders and working closely with the high street banks and a range of stakeholders delivering the scheme on behalf of Government.
Most recently, Rob was involved in the creation of the Start Up Loans programme, taking it from inception to a flagship scheme with over £200m worth of loans to small businesses. During this time he also worked as Public Affairs Manager with the Start Up Loans Company (SULCo), where he was responsible for managing all public sector relations relating to the scheme.
Rob has a (BA) hons from Sheffield Hallam University.
